Rónán is a Lecturer in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University. He is a member of the Neural Computation research group and lectures in the subject area of Mathematics & Statistics. Ronan has been awarded the Ph.D. degree for his thesis on the learning of Bayesian networks using ant colony optimisation to the University of Edinburgh, where he also graduated with an M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence. He is a graduate of the University of Dublin, Trinity College, with a B.A. and B.A.I. in Computer Engineering. Ronan's interests lie in machine learning, reasoning under uncertainty, Bayesian networks and the analysis and modeling of complex biological data.
